Is God's Timing Perfect......Really?

God already told us two things about his plans in the book of Isaiah:

1. HOW He is going to do it is not how you would do it

2. WHEN He is going to do it is not when you would do it

It's been a while, but I was cruising through Ex 23 the other day and got to verse 27. God is describing what He is going to do for the Israelites to make sure their entry into the next phase is as smooth as possible:

27 "I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. 28 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way. 29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. 30 Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.

From my standpoint, it would be enough to simply run the others out before we got there....but that is not how God operates.

He actually cares enough about the details....all of the details of each of our lives that He is willing to set up events so that the timing of everything we see and everything we don't see is....perfect.

The God we serve took the time to consider every detail....to care for us.

It is worth our while to spend some time considering ....in detail....how we can live our lives as living sacrifices for Him.
